Nikki and Anthony met at a University of Colorado football game in 1996. Ironically, our first conversation was about a mutual desire to be involved in missions. We were married August 15, 1998, and after one year of working in the professional world, we followed God’s call to attend Denver Seminary. Anthony received a Masters of Divinity and Nikki received an MA in Educational Ministries.

Before we were married God ignited both of our hearts with a passion for the local church. We realized that so many of the young people we knew were interested in God, but they had no one to ask questions about Jesus. This revelation fueled our passion to plant churches that would speak to the youth culture in places where they are needed most. Since 2004, this passion is being lived out in Turin, Italy where we have been a part of three churches plants, in Turin, in Milan and, now, in Chieri. There God has added to our family four children: Siena, Samuele, Asher and Jessi. In addition, we founded and lead a Christ-centered outdoor adventure ministry called “Into the Wilderness (ITW),” the only ministry of its kind in Italy. Through ITW, we have seen God reach into the hearts of young people to free them of their fears and call them into an adventure with Him. Over 1.000 people have experienced the gospel through outdoor adventure and are being sent back to local churches with a desire to take responsibility to share the gospel and serve.
